Joi 19 iunie 2008, Matthew Butler, in varsta de 28 ani şi Stephen Swan, de 26 ani, au fost împuşcaţi şi ucişi în faţa studioului Gate Sion Records, studio de inregistrari de muzica crestina in centrul Garland, Tx. Butler era proprietarul studioului; Swan a fost inginer de sunet.
